1/29/23 It’s been two weeks in my ADL program courses and following the recommendations from my professor, whether it be in Zoom class discussions, readings, or videos, has put me on the path to success. Being able to have a small group of classmates for collaboration and support is key for my learning and growing. I am also thankful that I have been exposed to many of the facets of this program in my district’s present learning environment initiatives over the past 4 years. Thus, when I read the literature and watch the videos, I have background knowledge for ADL program’s framework. I appreciate how the program is built for us as students to learn in an environment that we also want to create for our own learners whether they are adults, teenagers, or children. I look forward to creating this type of learning environment using the COVA principles of learning, and it starts with my own “Learning by Doing” (coined from a book by Richard DuFour, Rebecca DuFour, Robert Eaker, Thomas W. Many, Mike Mattos) by creating this blog post on my website that will house my ePortfolio.
