3/25/23 – The COVA learning approach has already impacted my learning as it has been in action since starting the ADL program in January. At first, the learning experience was daunting in the amount of choice, in how to express my voice, and in taking ownership of my ePortfolio that all occurred in the first few weeks. However, as I continue to move through my coursework, this learning approach has ignited more direction and purpose in my Innovation Plan. I look forward to how this approach is going to benefit my learners in my present instructional coaching position and in my future endeavors.
The part of COVA that might challenge me the most is making sure that the authentic learning opportunities are truly in place so that the work is meaningful to the learner in the moment and for the future. These learning opportunities need to build on and out from each other as the student grows in his/her learning, too.
