Wings and a Wand

8/20/2023 – Even when I worked in the business arena with my original degree, a BBA in Marketing, the calendar in my head revolved around the start of school as the start of a new year. It didn’t revolve around New Year’s Eve or New Year’s Day. Those were just a change in writing the date for me. The change from summer to fall was like a continual “call on my heart” that I belonging in education. Thus, knowing I wasn’t satisfied with what I was doing in my career, I went back to college for my teaching certification. Once I was in the classroom, the calendar in my head lined up with my new career and “the call on my heart.” It’s that time of year again for me. It’s a new school year! I look forward to my new Master’s classes with new learning, and I look forward to meeting the new or returning students with the teachers tomorrow at my elementary school.
