Wings and a Wand 11/18/23 – I think one of the best ways we can show leadership daily is leaving imprint on our students’ and our colleague’s hearts through service. It’s the servant leader that makes a difference because those acts evoke emotions in others. They realize that they matter. This week before Thanksgiving break was another wonderful time to give to others whether it was being clad in an apron serving the holiday lunch, setting up the Science Lab for classes to experience a STEM activity with their teachers, or preparing the upcoming PD agenda with recent assessment data for reflection after the holiday. I felt the thankfulness of students and colleages through a quick hug by a little one in the hall, a sweet phone text of gratitude, or a precious card of appreciation left in my box. As I go about the work of enacting my Innovation Plan/Project, I hope the teachers and students participating feel and believe that they matter throughout the process, too!
