Wings and a Wand

11/24/23 – Yesterday was Thanksgiving Day when we think about all that we are thankful for throughout the year. This time last year I was just finalizing the decision to start my Master’s degree. It was at my first class with Dr. H. that I met Kacie through chat. It was through her invite to be a part of a collaborative team that I met Brenda. We agreed that we needed to see if Maddy would like to join us. Later that month, Priya was still looking for a collaborative team. Our energy must have stood out in zoom class, because she messaged each of us about joining our group. It was a joy to make her apart of our team, too. We even got our courses changed when they put some of us in different ones. We knew we needed each other. Every one of these precious ladies has been instrumental in helping me accomplish the work needed in these courses to make this degree happen. My journey through the ADL program would not have been the same without them. I love what we have accomplished together through sharing the work and encouraging each other to press on when it got tough. I consider these women sweet friends as well as teammates.
