Wings and a Wand

5/1/2025 – I read recently where Bill Gates said that AI would take over the role of the teacher 10 years from now. While I agree that AI has the ability to provide personalized instruction and feedback (or feedforward as Dr. H would say), there still needs to be the Blended Learning piece of human collaboration and an adult to supervise, as well as, coach the interaction among the students. Thus, teachers will have to reinvent themselves for the future, and that is a very achievable goal. Here is a Newsweek article that makes me think more about how that gradual transition will occur.
