A Compilation of My Alternate PL Model

from Wings & a Wand
I entreat educators of Emergent Bilingual students to embrace the educational shift to Blended Learning that leverages technology resources to give these students choice, ownership, and voice in their learning (Horn et al., 2014; Tucker et al., 2016).
My New Perspective on Professional Learning enables me to provide Effective Professional Learning to support this shift for educators to meet the learning needs of Emergent Bilingual Learners (EBs). Along with my Innovation Proposal, I would utilize this “call to action” presentation with administration to receive support for my Innovation Plan and its implementation.
Here is the Outline of My Alternative PL Model created from my new perspective that includes details on the 5 Principles that make PL effective along with details regarding its Instructional Design. The PL Instructional Design has been enhanced with presentation slide templates, activity links, survey links and resource links.
How I Created my New Perspective Presentation:
I took my Call to Action video that is a part of my Innovation Plan to be a key note piece to this presentation. This was created and recorded in Canva as I set up my ePortfolio with my Innovation Plan and can be viewed alone on that page. I went to Canva again to incorporate the important information on Alternative PL and why it is so necessary for learning impact. After creating the slide deck and embedding the initial video, I used the recording ability in PowerPoint to record my presentation with the slides that I uploaded to YouTube viewing from here in my ePortfolio.
