Creating Significant Learning Environments (CSLE) along with a focus on learning enhances my Innovation Plan by providing an engaging learner-centered classroom where students have COVA (Choice, Ownership and Voice in an Authentic learning environment) to meet their learning needs through Blended Learning (Harapnuik, 2015).

To understand how CSLE enhances learning, here is my CSLE response along with my personal experience thus far in creating significant learning environments on my campus. I appreciate the new perspective that Thomas and Brown provide in their work as I went deeper into the importance of CSLE in my coursework (2011).
My Personal Learning Philosophy shares my beliefs in learning and the theories that support my viewpoint and influence my direction for my Innovation Plan utilizing Blended Learning where CSLE is a crucial piece (Horn, 2014).
Aligning Outcomes, Assessments, and Activities is where I have my Learning Environment/Situational Factors Outline + 3 Column Table with BHAG which provide a foundational view of my learning environment, the development of my effective learning goals, and the alignment of these goals with my activities and assessments to create a significant learning environment for my fellow educators and the students that they serve. This work recently became a part of the Outline of My Alternative Professional Learning Model where the 3 Column Table with BHAG is enhanced with links to templates for the initial activities and assessments.
Then, there is my UbD Design Template with which I compare and contrast with the 3 Column Table to determine where each design process would have a stronger effectiveness in CSLE. Also included is a personal reflection on how each process can support my Innovation Plan.
Finally, there are my updated thoughts on Growth Mindset along with a Learner’s Mindset and how they can support me in CSLE for the teachers and students whom I support as an Instructional Coach.
